Summer of ’22

Welcome to the summer of ’22

Where there’s much to play and more to do !

Cooking, washing clothes, spend time with family,

Rev up the accelerator to Chennai !

Grandparents greet us with hugs and smiles,

Go on a road trip for miles and miles.

1000 year old temples, a 2000 year old dam and another,

Bathe in waterfalls with organic water.

Travel under the sun, warmth comes and passes;

Public Speaking, Debating and Creative Writing classes.

Books, Short stories and poems I write

Publish my book when I get it right.

Drama classes help me put up a play,

So many wonderful things, I wish I could stay.

Lie on my bed, it’s 31st May,

The Summer of ’22 has been a very long day.
